Hello everyone. My name is Kimberly Cuevas-MĆ”rquez and I was born and raised in Hood River, Oregon. I am currently a third year student at the University of Oregon where I am majoring in Political Science and Family and Human Services. At CultureSeed, I have been able to help facilitate the Young Womenā€™s Peer Circles and I am also the chair of the Youth Council. Working with CultureSeed has been a real pleasure because the issues the organization addresses are issues I have experienced in my community. I look forward to the future of this organization and hope to do my part to create systemic change in what I call home.

Chris Williams & Front Porch Sessions

About Chris: You will rarely see me wearing a suit. Iā€™ve always been more interested in the who than the what. I believe the quickest way in getting to the who is to listen and thatā€™s how Front Porch Sessions came into existence. The power of story has influenced my life from a very young age and Iā€™ve spent my time incorporating storytelling into the work that I do. I earned a Masterā€™s Degree in Conflict Resolution from Portland State University and have worked in the Equity Department for Portland Public Schools. You can catch me telling my own stories or playing on stage with my Improv Trio Broke Gravy at local theaters. Regardless of where I am or what I am doing I am committed to engagement with the communities around me and living a full life as I do so.ā€‹
